THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR MELTDOWN

The Three Mile Island nuclear power plant primary cooling system failed leading to a core meltdown. The facility is located in Dauphin County in Pennsylvania.

The partial meltdown resulted in the release of radioactive gases and radioactive iodine into the environment.

Given the stagflation and recent oil prices: the disaster came at the worst possible time. Inflation is over 10% and unemployment is also very high.
