Street Fighter was released on August 30, 1987 by Capcom who also developed the game. Street Fighter is a player vs player fight game.
Street Fighter was designed for player v player with 2 sets of controllers on the console panel. The game has one 8-position joystick and two rows of three buttons for each player. Another version only 2 buttons which might have been ROMs used in another console.
In this game, the player takes control of martial artist Ryu, who competes in a worldwide martial arts tournament, spanning five countries and 10 opponents. A second player can join in at any time and take control of Ryu’s American rival, Ken.
The game offered a rich range of control for each player that differed depending on the character chosen. Some of the moves had extra power such as surge fist or dragon punch. The range of possible moves is huge and players were encouraged to experiment.
The player competes in a series of one-on-one matches against a series of computer-controlled opponents or in a single match against another player. Each match consists of three rounds in which the player must knock out an opponent in less than 30 seconds.
If a match ends before a fighter is knocked out, then the fighter with the greater amount of energy left will be declared the round’s winner. The single player takes on the role of Ryu who then takes in a range of opponents.
Once Sagat was defeated the game was completed,
