Street Fighter II was released on June 10 1992 by Capcom who also developed the game. Street Fighter II is a 2 player fighing simulator.

Street Fighter II takes over from the 1997 version of Street Fighter.  Unlike the original game, Street Fighter II was very successful. Over 200,000 machines were sold.

Gameplay is similar but the game has new character sprites.

With the exception of Sagat, the Grand Masters have different names in the Japanese version.

Although the original Street Fighter had not been very popular, Capcom began to make fighting games a priority after Final Fight was commercially successful in the United States.

The game uses a MC6800 CPU with a Z80 and a pair of sound chips.


Back when this machine was around, Sports Cards were in vogue for a few years. Stores selling cards often had arcade games to bring in extra cash. Windows 3.1 was the PC operating system
