WINDOWS GAME SDK

The Windows Game SDK was first shown at the Computer Game Developers Conference (CGDC). The SDK was a beta but it was the direction that management wanted as Windows 95 is readied for release.

The SDK is a hatchet job of WinG and Win32 bitmap APIs. Representatives said this was a beta and that more would be added for maybe September or so.

Some of the developers at Microsoft were clearly discussing Windows and gaming with several game developers.

The press at the conference was calling the SDK DirectX due to the naming and the Microsoft representatives agreed with the name.
