007 Legends was released on October 16, 2012 by Activision. The game was developed by Eurocom. 007 Legends is a first person shooter.
This game was released in coordination with the 50th anniversary of the famous James Bond films. The game’s campaign takes from the storey of all 6 films: Goldfinger, On Her Majesties Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, Die Another Day and Skyfall. The game is very ambitious.
Being built on the engine used for Eurocom’s previous title, 2011’s GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, 007 Legends shares much of the same gameplay, though there are some chames. The game focuses more on stealth-based play, with enemy AI being more suspicious and investigative.
The game also features an experience system which is used to unlock gadgets etc.
The melee probably will work better with a gamepad but the PC keyboard mapping is playable.
There seems to be a vehicle of one type or another throughout the game. The films were AAA action so the game tried to capture the same level of action.
Graphics seem a bit dated, especially with a modern 1920×1080 panel. There are also several bugs in the game. For some reason the game was also yanked from digital distribution leaving only the DVD available. Eurocom laid off 75% of their staff after this release failed to meet expectations.
The game has a 4 player split screen mode which supports up to 12 players.
Windows 7 or above. Core 2 duo. 4GB memory. DX9 graphics 256MB.
