Titanfall was released on March 11, 2014 by Electronic Arts. The game was developed by Respawn. Titanfall is a multiplayer first person shooter.
This game is a modern rendition of the classic Mechwarrior from 1989. Players control a robot soldier. The game offers 6 on 6 action in addition to other game modes. Up to 50 players can be active on a given server.
The game is optimized for fast-paced, continual action, aided by wall-running abilities and populations of computer-controlled soldiers.
Gameplay is free running. The exosuit provides for more firepower and protection which gives the game a unique angle.
At the start of a game, 12 players are dropped into a map. Titans can be deployed periodically, based on an onscreen timer, which must complete its countdown to zero before a Titan can be summoned. Killing other players reduces the amount of time remaining.
Millions of gamers have already heard the words “Prepare for Titanfall” crackle over a radio. They’ve experienced the feeling of dropping a Titan from orbit – of hearing the scream of a massive, 24-foot-tall mechanical monstrosity burning through the atmosphere.
Players run on walls, double jump with a jet pack, vault over obstacles, glide across ziplines, and chain together combos.
Titanfall won loads of awards. The developers did an excellent job of reimagining a classic.
