Fallout 4 was released on November 9, 2015 by Bethesda. The game was developed by Bethesda. Fallout 4 is a first person RPG shooter.
Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, welcome you to the world of Fallout 4 — their most ambitious game ever, and the next generation of open-world gaming.
Fallout 4, like Fallout 3 takes place about 200 years after a nuclear holocaust which is a common theme for games.
As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home.
Fallout 4 features a new upgraded graphics engine designed for the modern gaming platforms. The game uses an upgraded engine first seen with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
In Fallout 4, players obtain a Pip-Boy, a computerized wristwatch which allows the player to access a menu with statistics, maps, data, and items. Players can also find game cartridges, which can be played on the Pip-Boy.
Another returning gameplay feature is the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, which plays an important part in combat.
Do whatever you want in a massive open world with hundreds of locations, characters, and quests. Join multiple factions vying for power or go it alone, the choices are all yours.
They also have the ability to customize weapons; the game includes over 50 base guns, which can be crafted with a variety of modifications, such as barrel types and laser focus, with over 700 combinations available. Power Armor has been redesign to be more like a vehicle than an equipable suit of armor, and can also be modified, adding items such as a jetpack or selecting separate types of armor for each part of the suit.
In addition, the towns can be powered with working electricity, using a dynamic power line system. Merchants and NPCs can inhabit players’ towns, for which players must provide sustenance by growing food in makeshift patches and building water spouts etc.
Players can build various defenses around their settlements, such as turrets and traps, to defend against random attacks.
The game can be switched as desire from first to third person depending on the players wishes. We like this option so that console and PC gamers can use the gameplay that suites them.
Unlike earlier incarnations, this time around there is no food or water etc. This simplifies the game for some who are new to the category. The AI is also more refined.
Bethesda and the developer worked hard to avoid the mistakes seen with Batman: Arkham Knight and Call of Duty: Black Ops III which had problems galore on release day.
Bethesda released a Creators Club patch that added microtransactions to the game. Steam comments were overwhelmingly negative. The patch did nothing to fix game problems.
