The QNAP TS-332X is a small 3 drive network attached storage unit for the home or small business,

  • RAID 5
  • 3x M.2 SATA ports
  • 3x SATA III drive bays
  • 10 gigabit SPF+ port, supporting 10GBASE-T
  • Quad-core Cortex A57 CPU
  • TS-332X-4G: 4GB DDR4 RAM, upgradable to 16GB
  • TS-332X-2G: 2GB DDR4 RAM, upgradable to 16GB

The TS-332X supports up to three SATA 6Gb/s M.2 SSDs with 2280 form factors (sold separately), allowing users to create a high-capacity SSD cache for boosting IOPS-demanding applications, or RAID 5 tiered storage with balanced performance and redundancy protection. Coupled with QNAP’s Qtier technology that empowers the NAS with auto tiering, storage efficiency is optimized constantly across M.2 SSDs, 2.5-inch SSDs, and high-capacity HDDs with improved overall system performance.

The TS-332X supports a virtualized JBOD for those who do not want or need RAID. It supports iSCSI which is used with some corporate setups.

The M.2 support is convenient for placing left over SSD drives when a gaming box is upgraded. Prices for SSD drives are falling fast making them affordable to upgrade.

The toolless design makes it easy to swap out disks when needed. The software has the ability to help protect from malware and other attacks,

Windows 8 and above use File History which this unit can support as well.
