We have seen some reports of games purchased from the Microsoft Store being removed from the user’s account and the store complaining that the game needs to be purchased again.
None of the usual fixes work as this is a problem with the store and not with the user’s machine.
So far nothing from Redmond has been released as this issue arose before the weekend started. This suggests it may be several days before the accounts are fixed properly.
We have noticed Microsoft has had issues several times with their store. We speculate that some database may have crashed which enabled the licenses. The game’s store page does show a game is owned. This suggests a CDN server is at fault.
The wsreset does not resolve this error. It is clearly with Microsoft’s licensing servers.
