Resident Evil 2 has been a strong seller in the weeks since it was released.  It has been close to the top of the Steam sales chart.

We also discovered that a demo of Resident Evil 2 in Japan was censored. The gore has been toned down a bit compared to the main release.  This sort of practice is quite common in the industry however not many reviewers notice it.

We checked in on the game discussions and found a couple of threads with issues. Some had some graphics issues which suggest its time for DDU to clean up the mess.

Other issues are mostly due to problems with windows setups. Here at the studio we clean up windows by wiping the system disk frequently.  We do this with every new version of Windows as they come out. This way problems from updates are eliminated.

Games that crash usually upload dump files to the developer so that they can try to identify the problems. Software is available to automate the process so that a database can be populated.

We keep Steam games on a secondary storage platform so that Steam can discover them quickly when its freshly installed.
