Metro Exodus was released on February 15, 2019 by Deep Silver. The game was developed by 4A Games. Metro exodus is a first person shooter.

This game was available for preorder on Steam but Deep Silver decided to change the distributor to Epic Games shortly before release. The cost of using Steam has motivated a lot of publishers setting up their own stores and Epic is the latest contestant. The game will be back on Steam in February 2020.

Inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky, this game is a continuation of the story from Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The player again take on the role of Artyom who leads a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East.

Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.

The vast Russian wilderness makes for an excellent game world. There is a lot of potential for open world non-linear gaming. We tried to show this with a couple of screenshots to show the disparate game world color and detail.

The game has a karma system that adapters to the player’s gameplay. This was also noted in the previous releases. In Exodus the karma system is more sensitive so playing the game arrogantly may result in some hard to overcome challenges.

The artwork in Metro Exodus is outstanding. The team has done an excellent job making the game world expansive and immersive.

Use DX11 and do not use HDR as this game does not work well. Especially with DLSS. A future driver update or game patch may correct the problems.
