Recently for an unknown reason Chrome has been shutting down randomly. Restarting it does restore the pages that were open so any work is not lost.

Still the issue is rather disruptive. It seems to have arisen with the April updates to Windows 10 version 1809. Its most likely the reason for the faults however its possible that the nVidia driver may be at fault as the taskman shows some GPU activity when Chrome is open.

Usually the browser remains operational for a few hours before something goes wrong.

Sometimes Chrome displays the messy, “Aw Snaps, something went wrong” with a button to reload the webpage.
