Starbreeze acquired the publishing rights for “10 Crowns” in 2018 and has since then partly financed the development of the game. The title owner Mohawk Games and Starbreeze have now reached an agreement whereby Starbreeze returns the publishing rights for the game to Mohawk and will be able to recoup the development costs at a premium.
Starbreeze has previously sold the publishing right for Dead by Daylight back to the developer Behaviour Interactive. Dead by Daylight is available on PCs, PS4 and Xbox One.
In February, Skybound Entertainment (Robert Kirkman) cancelled its contract with Overkill and Starbreeze, halting the console release and removing it from sale on PC. Skybound is the company behind the Walking Dead comics.
Starbreeze has been struggling with problems galore as it recover from poor sales and other problems. Starbreeze has been reorganizing and it is likely going to have it rough unless it can find a successful game or two to earn some much needed cash.
Starbreeze has focused on Psychonauts 2 which is in a closed beta as of December 2018.
