Starbreeze has reported that its survival will depend on additional funding. At present it expects to exhaust it’s available funds within the next 12 months.

Starbreeze has already sold some of its assets, including the publishing rights to OtherSide Entertainment’s System Shock 3 and Mohawk Games’ 10 Crowns. In the report, the company suggested that it would sell further assets in order to secure more funding.

The Walking Dead was far below expectations which Starbreeze was hoping it would be a success. Starbreeze and the developer are both disappointed with the results.

At present Payday has been the strongest asset. Work on Payday 3 has been slow but some thoughts of speeding up development would depend on more funds. Payday contributes about $2.8 million quarterly.

The Starbreeze annual report for 2018 will be published in Swedish on May 14th 2019, which is three weeks prior to the AGM.
