I have downloaded the old site and deleted from Azure as I could not make the site work. The site depends on the domain as it redirects all URLs to the hardcoregames.biz which was the focus.
The site content is 724MB which is close to the limit for the free tier with Azure but the site traffic was high enough that the site was stopped on a daily basis which is triggered at about 8,000 page views per month.
WordPress offers 3GB for the their free tier which is triple the size offered by Azure. Some smaller rivals have even more storage.
The backup copy of the site can be uploaded back to Azure but the database may need to be manually modified to be able to fix it. It may be quite some time before the site recovers completely.
It may take some time to get the domain back into my possession. Once that happens I can consolidate this with the old database.
