Wolfenstein: Youngblood was released on July 25, 2019 by Bethesda. The game was developed by Machine Games and Arkane Studios. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a first person shooter with a female protagonist.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a fictional story set in an alternate universe in the 1980’s. Names, characters, organizations, locations and events are either imaginary or depicted in a fictionalized manner. The story and contents of this game are not intended to and should not be construed in any way to condone, glorify or endorse the beliefs, ideologies, events, actions, persons or behavior of the Nazi regime or to trivialize its war crimes, genocide and other crimes against humanity.
Immediately after playing this game it feels more like Borderlands with Nazi enemies with its gameplay. Enemies are bullet sponges, they turned Wolfenstein into a Destiny clone, lots of RPG type stuff. This is more of a loot shooter than a more conventional shooter like the previous released.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set up like many free to play game. Bethesda’s last 3 releases were flops because of it. You can’t buy coins to get upgrades, coin are the in-game currency. Gold Bars which are the premium currency can only be used to buy cosmetics, all of which can be also be bought with coins.
There is not much grinding in this game but the game does have some spots where the developers tried to stretch the game out a bit more. This is mostly to get ready for bosses which can be challenging.
While the game has a single player mode, it is really a coop game designed to be played by 2 players.
