Destiny or Fate was released on September 5, 2019 by GameNet. The game was developed by Blaster Games. Destiny or Fate is a roguelike deck builder strategy game.
Destiny or Fate is a deck-building roguelite game. Choose a hero, build a deck and a party of mythical creatures, and set out on an endless adventure! Are you ready to make your own destiny, or will you succumb to an evil fate?
With Destiny or Fate, the developer tried to create a balanced combination of two popular genres: deck-building games and roguelikes. Players can choose the tactics that best suit your playstyle: you can fight bosses or go on a treasure hunt; players can battle amazing creatures and either defeat them or recruit them into to their party. But be careful — if the players’ hero dies in the middle of an adventure, you’ll have to start all over again!
The artwork is comparatively good. Very interesting game play due to interconnection between hero abilities, card, and enemy special ability. The music is fun and thematic. The bosses are challenging.
The UI could stand to have some work on it. The pokemon-esque monster capture mechanic that never feels satisfying. Heroes have multiple abilities, but they don’t feel unique because these abilities are sometimes shared. There aren’t any unique cards. This game could have been so much more, which is the sad part.
