The Inquirer is a well known tech news site. Today they posted a goodby as they headed to pub for a pint.
- Year Established: 2001

- Last Editor: Carly Page
- Ceased Publishing: 19th December 2019
Unfortunately many media sites have seen a decline in revenue due to widespread adblocking. The publisher said the site will remain up for a few months into the end of march 2020 before it is shut down completely.
So many other sites have closed due to a collapse in digital revenue. Recall GameSpy who closed and they are still online but most have gone dark. It’s a sad day for independent journalists. RIP.
Incisive Media, publisher of the Inquirer knows it was much loved, and by ending the publication of the site much of the content will now be lost. However we have looked back through the archive and found some of the most popular articles and included them on this content hub on Computing.co.uk
