FIRE AT FRENCH DATA CENTER

Reports of a Fire in a data center in Strasbourg in easter france has shut down part of the .fr infrastructure. The fire broke out 2 days after the company released news it desired to become a listed company.

Founded by Klaba in 1999, OVHcloud competes against U.S. giants Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Corp’s Azure and Alphabet Inc’s Google Cloud, which dominate the market.

FRench television showed the 3 alarm fire which sent over 100 firemen and 1/2 th entire fire department to battle the blaze.

The Strasbourg centres were among OVHcloud’s 17 data centres in France, and 32 globally.
