LOW COST HD LAPTOPS $340 IN CANADA

There are a lot of machines with 1366×768 out there but more recent models now have 1920×1080 which is much easier to work with. The HD models are now slowly replacing the o9lder 1366×768 models. This model that is reviewed is Full HD resolution which makes Windows look good.

The new model unbranded generic Huashe machine features are:

13.3 Inch 1920 *1080 HD true life display offers rich colors and crisp text for a rich viewing experience .

  • Intel Celeron J3455 Processor
  • 1.5Ghz CPU base frequency
  • 2.5Ghz boost, 4 cores, 4 threads, 2MB cache, HD 500 graphics
  • 6GB LPDDR3
  • 256GB SSD
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Dual band 2.4Ghz +5G WiFi 802,11abgn
  • 10000 mAh battery
  • USB 3.0
  • HDMI
  • micro SD
  • headphone jack ports

The Intel Celeron J3455 is a low end model but with 4/4 architecture it is not as bad as some may think. The CPU was introduced in 2016 but it is still widely available for low end machines. Lower cost machines are best with the charger taken into the field.

The 6GB of memory is enough to run Windows 10 easily. The 256GB SATA SSD is typical in the mainstream market. The smaller battery is due to the lower price point; large batteries are expensive.

The built-in 2MP webcam is surprisingly good. The picture quality is actually good with Net Meeting etc. Bet bet is Bluetooth as this will allow for a microphone and speaker arrangement as the headphone jack is stereo only with mo. mic support. AirPods and other such products will work fine with this machine.

Machines like this are soldered in so there is not way to upgrade the SSD or RAM. The USB ports allow for extra storage as 128GB and 256GB models are now much more affordable. The SD card is handy to expand storage as the faster variants are actually useful with low cost laptops. The 6GB of RAM is actually better than the older 4GB class machines.

The charger is a simple small barrel model. The move to USB-C has been slower than backers have wanted but cost dominates the mainstream market. It may not be until 2023 or 2024 before new designs come to the market.

In short, shop around to be sure the machine you want has a 1920×1080 LCD so that it is easier to use Windows 10. This new model has many desirable features for $340 in Canada which is a great value. For a few pesos more there are models with 8GB of RAM.
