In recent years more and more games have been remastered. Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light both were enhanced by the develop for 64-bit. Metro Exodus also was enhanced with NVIDIA hairworks and RTX etc. The original Metro 2033 and Metro last light are DVD9 disks so they are not too demanding for storage on a rig, The remastered games are slightly larger. The campaign for Metro 2033 was pretty intense with action while Metro: Last Light spent more time in the colonies showing the life from a Russian perspective, No real difference between Russia and America, games tell it like it really is.
Recently the old classic Quake was remastered which made it playable on modern systems. Even bettter was the artwork was upgraded so that the game looked much better than it ever did, Now it can take its place beside Quake II RTX that NVIDIA developed to demonstrate the new Turning cards. Many other games are being enhanced by studios all over making gaming all the much more enjoyable.
On average it takes two to three weeks to test a video card properly. Sometimes it can be longer depending on driver stability and if new games are added to the databases. The reson is that several resolutions are tested and results are then tabulated before posting new results.
The old benchmarks are sill used for testing cards which has been on the back burner for a long time. Every different card that gets installed is tested for all of the game benchmarks in the databases. The old Cryostasis has been a favorite and even recent cards are slow with the game at 25260×1440 and 3840×2160, The classic Alien vs Predator benchmark works at the set screen resolution to windows has to be changed for the various resolutions.
Ashes of the Singularity was an interesting isomorphic design with far better level of detail that works well on 4K and 8K panels, Most recent games are able to handle a wide gamut of resolutions.
Unforunately the shortage of video cards does hurt the ability make larger tables of recent video cards.Hopefull things will improve.
The RTX 2080 is now largely integrated into the game benchmarks. Its a slow process but the results are popular.
