APPLE 2021 LINEUP

Apple has been flogging their Apple TV+ app up front followed by iPad and the Watch. iOS 15 will surface in a few weeks which has been typical for Apple.

The new series 7 watch was not a major update over series 6 but it does have a slightly larger display. Apple has marketed health and fitness with their watch which is well received by users.

Apple has some new iPads with lower prices which will definitely stimulate adoption. The base iPad is now 64GB which is the same as the new iPhone standard. 64GB is capable of handling a lot of images and apps.

Apple was also marketing Fitness+ which is a subscription based services,

iPhone 13 has a new ceramic screen which should be more durable but none of the phones in the studio have ever been a problem. The brightness is better at 800 nits and in HDR it affords 1200 nits. The iPhone 13 mini is surprising given the poor sales of iPhone 12 mini, The A15 processor is made with TSMC’s 5nm line, the cache is much bigger to improve performance. The battery is slightly bigger too. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the new flagship model. Storage now reaches 1TB which now competes with other phones in the market. The base models now have 128GB which is a definite improvement. The new iPhones will go on sale on September 24, 2021.

This list is all of the known 1TB model phones in the market as of press time. The day when phones reach 2TB and 4TB are not far off with advancements in NAND technology. NAND layering has moved to 128 levels and designs for 512 layers are on the drawing board.
