Apple today introduced some new products to revamp their lineup.
- MacBook Pro
- HomePod Mini
The new MacBook Pro are more expensive this year but they are much more powerful compared to previous models. Prices start at $1999 for the MacBook 14″ and $2499 for the 16″ models. Upgrades will definitely add to the cost. The new models have an HDMI port to connect to displays and TVs, a SD card slot for photographers. It also uses a MagSafe magnetic connector, bringing back a popular feature from older MacBooks. Users can still charge using the USB-C ports, of which there are three, which support Thunderbolt connections. The new models do not have a Touch Bar touchscreen on the keyboard but have a fingerprint sensor in the power button.
The notch on the new MacBook Pro is to house the new 1080p webcam. The improved webcam is designed to make it easier for video conferences and streaming. The keyboard is also completely redesigned after the problems galore from the previous lineup with the butterfly design.
The new HomePod Mini ($99) how come in a range of new colors. It now comes in orange, yellow, and blue. Previously, it was only available in white and dark grey. The low cost of the HomePod Mini makes them very popular.
The new AirPod 3 ($179) is an improvement over the original AirPods but they lack the gen pads of the AirPod Pro. The original AirPods are now $129. The new AirPods will support spatial audio, thanks to new sensors that support features like spatial audio. They sport a new design, closer to the AirPods Pro, but they lack the rubber in-ear tip. The case also charges magnetically using Apple’s magnetic charger MagSafe.
