The cheap Android tablet had some problems booting up. The after plugging it into the PC it began optimizing apps suggesting something was amiss with the settings. After optimizing the apps the OS shuts down. This repeats in a cycle so its not altogether clear what is wrong, Recovery mode also does not seem to be working to factory reset the tablet. Could be the tablet has failed as it does not boot properly,

Unfortunately Android does not have updates to get around problems like Apple does. The tablet shoes 1% charged so it may have been depleted which led to the problems booting it up. Then it shows 100% followed by 1% suggesting some problems with the operating system.

A replacement is not expensive but there is no real rush with several iPads in the studio available.
